How to Keep Vinyl from Peeling Off Tumblers

Now that you know which type of vinyl to use on the tumbler, you may wonder whether a certain type of decal will last longer. Of course, the answer is yes.

Thicker letters and images are ideal and will last longer. The larger the surface area of the adhesive, the better its adhesion to stainless steel or mugs. You can try bolding the font you are using to create a bolder font.

Before you start, make sure your stainless steel tumbler or mug has been cleaned and dried. And clean the cup with rubbing alcohol. This helps to remove any remaining grease or residue that will prevent the vinyl from adhering properly.

Let the vinyl cure on the cup for 48-72 hours to make sure it sticks well. So don't get wet within 72 hours!

Similarly, anything with vinyl should be hand-washed and gently washed. No need for strong scrubbing, no dishwasher! In any case, stainless steel cups should not be placed in the dishwasher, as it will interfere with the mechanism of keeping hot and cold.
